Sideline Season 4, Episode 2

Sideline is back for its fourth season covering South Florida sports news. In this week’s headlines: The Dolphins finally get a win after a three-game losing streak, coming back to beat the New England Patriots. The University of Miami makes an incredible 25-point comeback against California and emerges victorious by a single point. Finally, Home Network, QVC acquires the broadcasting rights to America’s fastest-growing sport.

Esteban Rodriguez is a sophomore majoring in TV/Broadcast media. He is a producer for Caplin News and FIU's Sports show, Sideline. He hopes to pursue this path of producing for Sports Networks and/or Hollywood in the Film Industry.

 

Nicolette Esper is a fourth-year, first-generation college student studying digital broadcasting with a focus on sports journalism. With a passion for sports, Nicolette aspires to work in the sports media field with hopes of becoming a sports broadcaster.

Valentina Gaspari is a junior majoring in Digital Broadcasting. A bilingual woman who enjoys traveling and covering stories, Gaspari is passionate about working as a news reporter post graduation.

Alejandro Marquina Villalobos is a junior majoring in Digital Broadcasting. In the future, he’s hoping to make an impact nationally and internationally as a political journalist.

Dylan Pezet is a student at Florida International University studying Digital Communications and Broadcast Media. He joined Caplin News in the Spring of 2024 in hopes of improving his TV-production craft so that after graduation he may be able to get a job with the NHRA as a track reporter/announcer.
