South Beach Wine and Food Festival hosts Foodiecon at the Mondrian South Beach (includes video story)

On Feb. 22, the South Beach Wine and Food Festival hosted Foodiecon at the Mondrian South Beach as part of their four-day event. Spotlighting food influencers, eventgoers enjoyed a full day of social media-worthy cooking demos, interactive panels with digital thought leaders, immersive activation and photo opportunities, along with book signings with digital trailblazers.

At the event, celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern, host of popular show Bizarre Foods, gave a hamburger cooking demonstration to a live audience. Food lovers were also able to talk with content creators like Keith Lee, George Arango and Nico Norena.

Foodie influencer Matt Peterson shared his experience creating food challenges niched to his content.

“I try not to find it challenging. I just find it more genuinely grateful for the opportunity to be able to create and constantly just put yourself out there,” said Peterson. “It’s something I’ve always dreamt of. So it’s a fun opportunity now. “
