Jewelianna Ramos-Ortiz performed in the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show on Feb. 8, marking a milestone in her martial arts and stunt career. The Miami native credits years of disciplined training for helping her reach the sports world’s biggest stage.
Ramos-Ortiz began training at her parents’ dojo before she could walk and later moved to its sister school, Better Families Through Tae Kwon Do, where she continued developing her skills and work ethic.
“When I got into stunts and the film and TV world, not only was it my skills that made me stand out but also those tenets,” said Ramos-Ortiz.
“Our work ethic and the things we do in silence behind closed doors are the reasons we were chosen,” she added. “When you do things out of love and for the right reasons, doors open.”
Instructors praised her dedication and professionalism. Ramos-Ortiz now inspires young students at the South Miami school, showing how long-term commitment and passion can lead to national opportunities.
