Fans of “Survivor” celebrate the show’s 50th season premiere in Little Havana (includes video story)

Fans of the reality television show, “Survivor,” light their torches once again for the drama’s 50th season premiere, celebrating this milestone with local watch parties and contestants across South Florida. 

Dee Valladarez, Survivors 45th season winner, hosted a local watch party at Little Havana’s River House Wine & Bar and invited special guest Sebastian Noel, a contestant from “Survivor: Ghost Island.”

“I just want to build a community in Miami that represents unity,” said Valladares. “The show has given me so much, and I want other people to experience how great the show is.” 

Fans covered wide distances just for the opportunity to talk to their favorite castaways with crafted cocktails and food all night, attendees could enjoy a cozy experience alongside fellow fans. 

“I don’t think I’ve missed a week,” says Zackery Simpson, a longtime fan of the show. “I’ve watched the show every week with my mom for the first eight years.”
