Telemundo Studios hosted the event “En la Mira de Trump,” where experts addressed concerns about new immigration policies affecting the Latino community. Led by journalist and anchor Julio Vaqueiro, the discussion aimed to provide clarity and guidance to those facing uncertainty.
Immigration attorney Kathia Quiros emphasized the importance of education for undocumented individuals, urging them to continue their studies despite financial challenges.
“What we need to do is not feel like victims, what happened was beyond our control but what we need to do is never to stop studying even if prices went up. If you’re undocumented, there’s still something we can do if you get a four-year degree from any university,” she explained.
The panel also covered law enforcement concerns and resources available to immigrant students. Experts reassured attendees that opportunities still exist for those seeking higher education, including scholarship programs designed to assist undocumented students.
By bringing together key voices in immigration and education, “En la Mira de Trump” provided attendees with valuable insights and practical advice. The event aimed to empower immigrants with the knowledge needed to navigate their challenges and build a better future.
