The Deering Estate spooks visitors with paranormal tours (includes video story)

As South Floridians put up their Halloween decorations, the Deering Estate in Cutler Bay is offering something even spookier on its historical property throughout October.

Guests begin their tour by gathering in small groups to hear spooky tales from Deering Estate employees. Once the atmosphere is set, employees and a guide lead participants through the historic residence.

“Me and my brother were by ourselves and we were recording and asking questions,” said 13-year-old Graycin Underhill. “As we were about to walk out we heard a knocking sound on the glass of the kitchen cabinet and that freaked us out. I got chills and everything.”

The Deering Estate will host three more paranormal tours this October, all of which are sold out. Those interested can check the estate’s website for any additional ticket availability or mark their calendars for next year’s event.
