Tucked away between warehouses, Casa Bake is a hidden gem for French pastry lovers. Known for its expertly crafted croissants and sourdough bread, the bakery offers an array of authentic French pastries made fresh in-house daily.
Owner Benoit Bagliardini, who was born and raised in France before moving to Miami eight years ago, takes pride in delivering high-quality products at an affordable price. Bagliardini first opened Casa Bake as a pop-up in April 2024. The shop is takeout only. There are no tables or places to sit.
“We want to be a local bakery for the locals, so that’s why we take very good pride in making high-quality products at a very good price,” Bagliardini says.
We tried the chocolate almond croissant, which was warm, flaky, and had a texture nicely balanced between the crunchiness of the almonds and the creaminess of the chocolate ($4.50).

Just a few blocks from Sunset Place Mall, Cafe Bonjour brings the charm of a French bistro to South Miami.
Known for its cozy ambiance and extensive menu, the café offers classic French dishes like quiche Lorraine, steak frites, and croque monsieur, alongside a wide selection of pastries and desserts.
The Concord Cake, which is featured in the image above, is a chocolate meringue cake filled with a light chocolate mousse. It is gluten-free, serves eight to twelve people, and sells as a whole for $65, or by the slice for $12.50.
The vintage paintings on the walls truly make you feel like you’re sitting in an intimate French cafe, Most of the artwork is in gold frames that give the place a unique and antique look.
Whether you’re stopping by for dessert, breakfast, a hearty meal, or a coffee break, there’s something for everyone—from fresh salads and soups to seafood and steak.

Jordan Morales, a server at Cecile, highlights a standout dish: “One of the best plates we offer here is our croque monsieur ($16). It’s great because it’s one of the couple plates that represents the true authenticity of French cuisine. It perfectly exemplifies what a casual French dish should be.”
The macarons are bright in color and melt in your mouth, especially the pistachio. Their apple danishes sit alongside the croissants and have grown to be a surprising customer favorite, mentions Morales, who began working at Cecile two years ago.
