Advocates share grievances at USAID betrayal hearing (includes video story)

The House Committee on Foreign Affairs held the U.S. Agency of International Development betrayal hearing today, focusing on the many grievances that foreign aid organizations and advocates had about the recent dismantling of the department.

“If you go to the refugee camps and displaced camps around the world, USAID is the image of the United States,” remarked former USAID administrator Andrew Natsios.

Despite promises from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, lifesaving USAID funds are still being withheld from foreign aid groups.
