Across South Florida, voters headed to the polls early Tuesday to cast their ballots for the final day.
At the Miami-Dade fire rescue station in North Miami, voters were welcomed with several campaign posters as they walked inside. Despite rainy weather, voters said casting their ballots was a smooth process.
It’s all eyes on the presidential race tonight, but voters in South Florida will also choose the next Florida U.S. senator and Miami-Dade sheriff, in addition to constutional amendments legalizing recreational marijuana and protecting abortion rights.
Jeff Zeleny, a CNN Chief National Affairs Correspondent, calls this election one of the closest in American history.
“There is absolutely no way that I would even suggest who’s going to win,” Zeleny said. “We have no idea. It is that close.”
Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m. Click here to learn more about voting on Election Day.
