The advisory addresses heat indices ranging between 105 and 110 degrees. It lasts from noon to 7 p.m. Therefore, it’s vital to stay cool and hydrated during the peak solar hours.
Father’s Day weekend becomes busier on the precipitation front. On Saturday, anticipate a 60% chance for thunderstorms during the afternoon, with most affecting inland locations. Sunday’s activity will be slightly less so; the chance of rain hovers around 50% during the World Cup match between Uruguay and Cape Verde.
The new work week will feature highs in the lower 90s accompanied by isolated showers every day.
