Electric vehicles are all the hype at Electrify Expo in Miami (includes video story)

Electric cars, electric trucks, e-bikes and e-watercraft were just some gadgets on display at the Electrify Expo this past weekend.

Miami got a scoop of the latest innovations from top electric mobility brands like BMW and Porsche. The expo also teaches e-curious consumers about electric vehicles (EVs) and even allows test drives.

BJ Birtwell, founder and executive producer of Electrify Expo, created it as a multi-city festival for consumers to learn about electric alternatives for cars and more.

The expo has stopped in Long Beach, San Francisco, Washington D.C., New York and Seattle. Over the weekend, they made their sixth stop in Miami.

McKenzie McCabe represented Ryvid, an electric vehicle company, at an electric motorcycle exhibit and demo area.

“It’s Electrify Expo, everyone is already super interested in being part of EVs,” said McCabe.

One of the more thrilling experiences had to be the hot lap in the Mustang Mach-e GT. Visitors like Eddie Ramos got to speed through the course with Ford.

After visiting this year’s Electrify Expo for the first time, Ramos said,  “If they come back, I come back.”

The expo’s last stop is in Austin, Texas, from Nov. 10 to 12. For more information and videos about electric fun, visit their website electrifyexpo.com
