Miami Grand Prix heads to Hard Rock (includes video story)

Once an ambitious idea to run a Formula One World Championship race around Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Grand Prix is getting set to bring global motorsport back to the 305 on May 5.

F1 traveled 8000 miles from the Shanghai International Circuit, the site of the Chinese Grand Prix held last Sunday.

The Miami race will highlight rthe return to domination for Oracle Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen. The Dutchman looks to capture his third straight win in Miami.

“First of all, it’s about the racing,” said former F1 team owner Guenther Steiner. “[Miami] raised the level for families to go there. It’s fantastic for families.” 

The weekend begins May 3 and concludes with the main race on May 5. Tickets are available at f1miamigp.com.
