September is a packed month for movie releases (includes video story)

Despite recent strikes and schedule changes in Hollywood film release dates, there are still movies heading to theaters each week in September.

CMX Cinema Theatres in Miami Lakes will be playing many of them.

The month kicks off with Denzel Washington in “The Equalizer Three” on Sept. 1.

A week later, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” is back with the Portokalos family reunion on Friday, Sept. 8. The eighth also marks the start of scary movie season with “The Nun 2” creeping into theatres.

Kenneth Branagh, Academy Award-winning British actor and filmmaker, comes back both in front and behind the camera in his latest Agatha Christie adaptation, “A Haunting in Venice,” which released Friday, Sept. 15.

On Sept. 22, Sylvester Stallone’s squad is back with “The Expendables Four,” featuring Jason Statham, Megan Fox and 50 Cent.

The film-packed month will end with two movies on the 29th, “Jigsaw” and “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie.”
