Swifties flock to local coffeehouse for album release party (includes video story)

Haute Coffee hosted its first Taylor Swift night this past Saturday in Cooper City to celebrate her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” Employees of the mobile java maker said it was one of their busiest events. The event included activities such as a photo booth, raffle, and a DJ playing only Taylor Swift. Additionally, personalized Haute Coffee merchandise was also sold.

Each menu item was tailored to one of her albums or songs. Some of the drinks were named “Tortured Poet Latte” or “Lavender Haze Chai.” There were even chai cookies.

Returning customer Tabatha Regel attended not only for her afternoon coffee but also because she is a Swiftie at heart.

“I am a regular here at the Haute truck,” she said. “I love their coffee, refreshers, pastries, and everything, so when I heard they were doing a Taylor Swift event, I was like ‘I have to attend’ because I am a Swiftie. I love her and I have been to her concerts. I love her new album. I feel it was for everyone.”
