Earlier this week, Meta Platforms Inc., owner of Facebook and Instagram, released a new social media app in over 100 countries called Threads. As a rival to Twitter, it has grown rapidly in popularity.
Twitter owner Elon Musk sent a cease and desist to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg over the new Threads app. In response to a tweet about the cease and desist letter, Elon Musk wrote, “Competition is fine, but cheating is not.”
Threads can be accessed through your Instagram account, and it allows users to post updates that can include text, photos, links and videos.
