Fans respond to “Dazed and Confused” thirtieth-anniversary screening (includes video story)

This past Saturday, an audience at the Coral Gables Art Cinema was treated to a special screening of Richard Linklater’s “Dazed and Confused,” which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

“I’m a big fan of ‘Dazed and Confused’,” said Carlos Roig, a fan of the coming-of-age classic since childhood. “I watch it at least two times a year so when I walked by and I heard it was coming tonight, I said ‘I gotta go. I gotta go.’ ”

The Cinema’s general manager Max Zarran added: “Stuff like this is important to celebrate, to be able to actually experience it the way it was intended to be seen like it was 30 years ago. It’s like an honor to do something like that.”

The Coral Gables Arts Cinema is located at 260 Aragon Avenue and is open from Monday to Sunday. Tickets for screenings and events can be purchased online at https://www.gablescinema.com/.
