On Tuesday, Oct. 10, Tea and Poets will host an open mic night. The event is free to the public. At the event, poets, artists, and musicians will present their talent before a live audience from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

14th Annual Art Competition
On Friday, Oct. 12, the 14th Annual Art Competition will be held in Studio 18 in Pembroke Pines. This free event is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The competition won't have paintings alone, but will include digital art, photography, sculptures and drawings.
Tracing the Red Thread Exhibition
On Saturday, Oct. 13, a guided tour highlighting abstract artist Mira Lehr’s work will be held Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The tour will feature art from her “Tracing the Red Thread” exhibition. Wynwood Art Walk
On Saturday, Oct. 13, Rolando Adrian Avail will create a mural in front of an audience at the Wynwood Art Walk. This is a free event, but the first 500 people to RSVP will get a free drink ticket valid between 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Start off Art Basel season with a visit to Parallel 18 in Wynwood at Miart Space gallery. The photography exhibition featuring Alexandro Pelaez, Daniel Serva, Ever Borettini, Jose Varela, Lola Green, and Miguel Aya will be from December 1 to the 15. The event is free to attend.
