On Tuesday, Oct. 10, Tea and Poets will host an open mic night. The event is free to the public. At the event, poets, artists, and musicians will present their talent before a live audience from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

On Friday, Oct. 12, the 14th Annual Art Competition will be held in Studio 18 in Pembroke Pines. This free event is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The competition won't have paintings alone, but will include digital art, photography, sculptures and drawings.
On Saturday, Oct. 13, a guided tour highlighting abstract artist Mira Lehr’s work will be held Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The tour will feature art from her “Tracing the Red Thread” exhibition. Start off Art Basel season with a visit to Parallel 18 in Wynwood at Miart Space gallery. The photography exhibition featuring Alexandro Pelaez, Daniel Serva, Ever Borettini, Jose Varela, Lola Green, and Miguel Aya will be from December 1 to the 15. The event is free to attend.
