Give Miami Day achieves milestone tenth year, raises over $34 million (includes video story)

This November, the Miami Foundation hosted its tenth national annual Give Miami Day.

At the end of the four-day-long event from Nov. 13 to 16, Give Miami Day raised $34,103,878, there were 96,473 donations, 46,619 donors and 1,176 organizations involved.

This event invites community-serving organizations to celebrate the act of giving as the holidays approach.

“It’s about how many people get involved and give back,” said Rebecca Fishman Lipsey, President and CEO of the Miami Foundation. “I am hoping we see 100,000 donations and people volunteering their time and money [to find] a cause they care about. I hope we will see tens of millions of dollars come in but the most important thing is that everybody in Miami gets involved and gives back.”
