Inter Miami prepares for U.S. Open Cup Finals (includes video story)

Tonight, Inter Miami will face Houston Dynamo in the U.S. Open Cup Finals at DRV PNK Stadium. Captain and premier player Lionel Messi’s role is a game-time decision.

The team won the Leagues Cup about a month ago and hopes to win por la segunda

Geraldo Martino, Inter Miami’s head coach, spoke yesterday at a news conference about Messi’s ability to play. He said the decision to include the captain as the starting player will be determined hours before the final.

Messi has been dealing with discomfort in his left leg, resulting in his absence against Orlando this past Sunday.

Thiago Malvaso, an Argentinian tourist, hopes the captain appears on the pitch.

“I think that if they need him, he’s going to come in,” Malvaso states.
