Lawmakers raise health concerns over Prime energy drink (includes video story)

Lawmakers are sounding the alarm over Prime, a popular energy drink created by Youtube influencers Logan Paul and Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji “KSI.”

The beverage has six times the amount of caffeine in a can of Coca-Cola and poses a health risk to children and teenagers.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is calling on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to investigate the product.

“This is an eye-popping level of caffeine for a young kid’s body,” said Schumer.

Although the company’s website mentions it does not recommend the energy drinks for anyone under the age of 18, Schumer claims the company still targets children through social media.
