Mental health and suicide prevention program arrives at FIU (includes video story)

Florida International University partnered up with the JED Foundation on Monday, Oct. 23 to host Neon Nights, an event to raise funds and awareness for mental health and suicide prevention in teens and young adults.

“The great thing about FIU’s partnership with the JED Foundation as we work through Neon Nights is the opportunity that it allows for us to talk about mental health,” said Stephen Dominy, director of Fraternity and Sorority Life.

FIU raised over $4,000 for the JED Foundation and had over 200 students in attendance.

The JED Foundation currently works with 370 institutions and is now adding FIU.
