Miami gears up for GOP presidential debate at Adrienne Arsht Center (includes video story)

Five Republican presidential hopefuls are set to share the stage at the Adrienne Arsht Center on Wednesday night. A preview of the debate took place when four of the five candidates spoke at the Florida GOP Summit near Orlando on Saturday.

Sen. Tim Scott from South Carolina and Gov. Ron DeSantis were among those who spoke.

Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, running as a political outsider, is also part of the Miami debate. Despite heckling by Trump supporters, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is determined to convey his message.

Former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley is competing with DeSantis to emerge as the top alternative to Donald Trump.

Shamyr Touze is graduating in 2023 and his hope for the future is to work as a broadcaster on an NBA sport team.
