The Ukraine war has been going on for around 10 years now. Surrounding European countries and the U.S. have contributed millions of dollars to help Ukraine with military and humanitarian aid.
“There is a responsibility on all European nations to be involved in helping Ukraine against the Russian aggressor,” says historian and Florida International University professor Rebecca Friedman.
Russia first invaded Crimea in 2014 and the tanks rolled again in 2022. The US became more involved after the second attack.
Politico says that based on a survey, many of the civilians living in surrounding countries fear that Ukraine will lose the war, making them the next target.
