“Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” hit theaters next Friday (includes video story)

It is the double-movie premiere social media has been buzzing about, as two high-profile, yet very different, films are set to hit theaters next week.

“Barbie,” starring Margot Robbie, and “Oppenheimer,” starring Cillian Murphy will be premiering July 21.

“It’s pretty funny because they’re such vastly different movies, but it’s also really great seeing the cast members supporting each other,” said Jennyfer Mendez.

According to AMC Theaters, more than 20,000 members of its “Stubs” rewards program have bought tickets for both films.

Movie-goers are planning to see both films on their opening day, with a total running time of nearly five hours.
