Liberty City hosted its 47th annual parade in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.
The day is meant to honor King’s core message of unity by bringing the community together through the empowerment of youth and local programs.
Food and cultural displays also brightened up the parade for all spectators in attendance
“I am a Miami native… It means so much to me to be able to celebrate a man who supported and fought for love, for peace, for nonviolence,” said Yolanda Sonders.
