Miami hosts huge pickleball festival (includes video story)

A pickleball festival billed as “the largest in the world” was hosted in Miami this past weekend with over a thousand participants. The fast-growing sport has become popular because of its inclusivity.

Players, supporters and vendors were present and shared their experiences and love for the sport.

Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management students were present at the event. They demonstrated their skills and networked with customers and vendors.

“These are things you can’t learn from sitting in a classroom,” said student Isabella Perez.
