The National Hot Rod Association staged its iconic season opener for the 55th time at the historic Gainesville Raceway.

The NHRA is a drag racing organization that features four pro classes:Top Fuel, Nitro Funny Car, Pro-Stock, and even Pro-Stock Motorcycle. There is also a wide range of sportsman classes that all qualify and race for the same trophy.

“Obviously your objective is always to win,” said multi-time race winner Clay Millican, “We need to go more rounds more consistently and let the wins come.”

The NHRA hosts many national events all around the United States and will return to Gainsville in March of 2025.
