With the Eastern Conference Finals just a win away, the Miami Heat and the Florida Panthers looked to seal the deal Friday night.
There was an official watch party at Backyard, a Fort Lauderdale bar, for the Panthers, who were away in Toronto.
“I love the environment; I love the people; I live right by Downtown here and I just love seeing everybody so excited about it,” said Chelsea, a Panthers fan, about the watch parties. “It’s really fun.”
Both teams clinched spots in their respective conference finals on the same day, something that has never happened before.
The Miami Heat make their way to Boston to face the Celtics on Wednesday, while the Florida Panthers travel to face the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday.
