FIU swim and dive team takes home an emotional final win (includes video story)

This past Saturday, the Florida International University swim and dive team competed in the last home meet of the season against Florida Gulf Coast University. They celebrated 10 seniors at the Biscayne Bay Campus pool.

Some parents flew in to surprise their children on the heartwarming day. The seniors were given personalized poster boards made by their teammates and were crowned as they ran through a tunnel representing the school’s flag.

“It’s almost like the last page in the book… Knowing that this is the last time I get to race with these girls on the team,” said Christie Chue, a multi-record-holding senior swimmer.

Kimora Miller is a senior seeking a bachelor’s degree in public relations, advertising, and applied communications at FIU. Her current interests involve sports entertainment, social media, collegiate dance, and on-air interviews.
