Severe storms cause intense damage to Florida homes (includes video story)

Fort Pierce, Jupiter Farms and Melbourne are a few of the Florida locations that have been hit by severe storms, causing intense damage to many homes.

The storms have been hitting the state over the week and more is expected. Advisories in Orlando have warned residents about large hail.

Fort Pierce resident Darline Polycarpe described seeing the rain come into her kitchen after the wind knocked a tree over the roof of her home.

“We’re standing right by the door, seeing all the rain and wind, and all of the sudden it got worst within seconds,” said Polycarpe.
