South Floridians thrived at the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (includes video story)

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship hosted a title fight between Miami native Luis Palomino and James Lilley on Friday.

Palomino, the champion, successfully defended his belt in Hollywood at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The South Floridian fighters won seven fights that night and lost three.

James Dennis, one of the three winners who doesn’t train in South Florida, beat Rene Rodriguez by knockout. Dennis received boos from the hometown supporters.

“It felt really good to win after that,” Dennis said. “I was prepared for the boos though.”
