Podcasts help listeners with their mental health (includes video story)

As podcasts continue to rise in popularity, podcasters are utilizing their platform to raise awareness of mental health despite the social stigma.

Paola Bayron is host of “The Inner Puzzle,” an audio production on this topic. She said: “[It] is a space for survivors to share their stories. It’s a way for them to share it so that we are all in this journey together.”

However, not everyone should produce a mental health podcast, and professionals believe there should be certain levels of precaution when making them.

Victoria Gray, a psychotherapist, said: “I think there should be disclaimers that should be put out on the front end and on the back end of podcast messaging.”
