A dog has been reunited with its owner thanks to the teamwork of the Coral Gables community and their active role on social media.
The dog was found by staff at the Venetian Pool, and with the help of a resident they were able to safely capture the animal. The workers took care of it until animal control arrived later that afternoon.
“We had a guest come up to the front desk saying they had the dog,” said Kathia Martinez a Venetian Pool employee. “They told us they posted the dog on an app saying the dog was lost and to contact her.”
One of the employees also posted the dog on the Neighbors app by Ring to help spread the word, and luckily the owner was notified and picked it up.
