In celebration of Black history month, our sister publication, Inspicio, has curated a group of video interviews from its archives with people who experienced Overtown’s Hampton House — brought to the forefront recently in the recent film, “One Night in Miami” — during segregation, and with prominent Black people in the arts, who are connected to the Miami and South Florida areas.
Among them are choreographer Robert Battle (pictured above), jazz singer Niocole Henry and astronaut Winston Scott.
