Miami Marlins players show their love for the city (includes video story)

Baseball, hot dogs and croquettes are three things that families look forward to when visiting the Marlins. 

Marlins players not only love their sport but also Miami, as they spoke about their sports’ identity in the Miami culture. 

“For me to put on a Marlins jersey is everything for me,” said first-base Coach Jon Jay. “I love Miami, everyone knows that.”

The season will continue from August to October, and fans can support their team at LoanDepot Park with tickets as low as five dollars.

Daniela Zulueta is a FIU Alumni at Florida International University who graduated with her bachelor's in digital broadcasting and media and holds an associate degree in journalism from Miami Dade College. She loves Miami and aims to share the stories of the citizens who live here and all over the world. After her studies, she wishes to pursue a career in the entertainment field.

Tania Jimenez is a senior majoring in communication with a concentration in digital broadcasting. She is interested in sports. After graduation, she would like to continue her career journey in the world of sports media.
