New developments in the search for Brian Laundrie

In a new twist in the Florida manhunt for Gaby Petito’s missing fiance, Brian Laundrie’s dad joined the search yesterday. He’s reportedly helping investigators narrow the search of the 25,000 acres T. Mabry Carlton Jr. Memorial Reserve near Sarasota by pointing out his son’s favorite trails.

Brian reportedly told his parents he was headed to the reserve when they say they last saw him in mid-September.

This comes as the parents change their recollection of the day Brian went missing. The family released a statement. “The Laundries were basing the date Brian left on their recollection of certain events… We now believe the day Brian left to hike in the preserve was Monday, September 13.”

The Carlton Reserve has been closed to the public during the manhunt. It’s not clear if Brian Laundrie’s father will rejoin the search party on Friday.
