Cars for a Cure raises awareness for cancer treatment research (includes video story)

The seventh annual Miami Lakes Cars for a Cure event was held at Main Street in Miami Lakes.

The Alonso family hosts this event to honor their patriarch and raise funds for the University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center.

“Sometimes we forget about all the work that’s being done to find a cure for cancer and together as a community we’re joining in that fight,” says Roberto Alonso Jr., the son of Roberto Alonso and a member of the Miami-Dade County School Board representing District 4.

The Cars for a Cure event brings the town together for a day of fun surrounded by vintage and modern cars, all for a good cause.
