This past weekend in Hialeah Park, Panthers fans prepared for the quickly approaching 2023-2024 hockey season. Fans of the “gatos” gathered to celebrate with food trucks, giveaways, painting activities and more.
Because the Amerant Bank Arena is in Sunrise and most fans are from Broward, having this party in Miami was an effort to reach out to those further south.
“I was surprised, a happy surprised, they’re really trying to reach out to the [Hispanic] community,” said fan Margie Hernandez.
The Panthers play a doubleheader at home against the Nashville Predators today to kick off the preseason.
