The Society of Professional Journalists at FIU and iWitness, a photojournalism exhibit in Miami, organized a panel on Friday Feb. 16 at Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay Campus. Legendary South Florida photojournalists Carl Juste and C.W. Griffin discussed a variety of issues: how a successful photograph tells a story, how images add life to written pieces and the importance of bearing witness. Their advice to the young journalists in the audience was not to focus on changing the world, rather on telling the truth.
