A tech company aims to change the way homes are built (includes video story)

On March 21, Onx Homes held the grand opening of their X+ Systems Factory in Pompano Beach.

Onx Homes is a tech-driven company, reinventing the way homes are built across the U.S. Their properties are entirely built in a manufacturing plant and assembled on-site in 30 days. The homes are made of concrete structures that can withstand category 5 hurricane wind speeds and have a customizable AI HVAC System.

This is Onx’s third plant in Florida, and the people of Pompano are excited to bring X+ System communities to the area.

Matthew Rocco, president of the South Florida Manufacturing Association, says the Onx team is ready to show off their hard work.

“This shows just how resilient manufacturing is as a community, as an industry, looking at a problem identifying a solution and building it, constructing it, manufacturing it to capture that need,” said Rocco.
