Panthers, Heat lose and fans go crazy (includes video story)

Last night was incredible for South Florida sports fans. The Miami Heat took on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden while the Florida Panthers skated against the Toronto Maple Leafs at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise.

Both teams were gunning for spots in in the Eastern Conference Finals. Fans took to sports bars and restaurants all across South Florida to watch the showdowns. Both teams still lead in their series’.

The TVs at Bottled Blondes in Wynwood aired both games for fans who shared confident predictions. One Heat fan said: “Heat in five… we’re going to win.”

Unfortunately neither South Florida team came out on top. The final score was 112-103 Knicks and 2-1 Maple Leafs. Heat fans like Rafael Martinez left Bottled Blondes with disappointment, noting that “[he was] really devastated,” and adding that star player Jimmy Butler did not have his head in the game.
