Ron DeSantis is under criticism for comments made about Palestinian people (includes video story)

Civil rights groups deemed Gov. Ron DeSantis’ comments about Palestinians in Gaza discriminatory in his campaign event in Iowa on Oct. 14.

“If you look at how they behave, not all of them are Hamas, but they are all antisemitic,” said the presidential hopeful.

The Council on Amercian-Islamic Relations responded to DeSantis’ statements amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.

“Gov. Ron DeSantis stating that the 2.1 million people living in Gaza are antisemites is an openly racist comment,” said Wilfredo Ruiz, media and outreach director at CAIR. “These xenophobic policies enforced by the governor who employed our tax money in Florida in an effort to rescue American citizens exclusively those residing in Israel, and not even mentioning the American citizens that are being bombed and murdered in Gaza, is totally irresponsible.”
