Delta Sigma Theta Sorority hosts 5K run to raise breast cancer awareness (includes video story)

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is hosting its ninth Annual Think Pink Run Red 5K Run to bring awareness to breast cancer and encourage women to get checked.

Tundra King, the host of the event, is an 11-year breast cancer survivor.

“This walk is not to stop breast cancer but to catch it as early as possible,” King said.

Multiple prizes and medals are given out for first-place and second-place winners in multiple age divisions. The portions of the funds they raise from the run will go to the American Cancer Society.

Delta Sigma Theta sorority does multiple events for breast cancer awareness. It encourages everyone of all ages to come out and support.

Shamyr Touze is graduating in 2023 and his hope for the future is to work as a broadcaster on an NBA sport team.
