Sofia Coppola’s new film “Priscilla” hits theaters tomorrow (includes video story)

Priscilla Presley married one of the most famous men in the world, Elvis Presley, who was known as the “king of rock and roll,” when she was 21 years old. Ever since then, the public has focused on Elvis. Tomorrow a new movie opens in theaters that aims to change the narrative.

Sofia Coppola’s latest film features Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi as the iconic duo, Elvis and Priscilla Presley. Spaeny delved deep into her role, which spans Priscilla’s journey from age 14 to 26. Elordi, on the other hand, had to master Elvis’ legendary moves with the help of a dedicated coach. The actors also had extensive conversations with Priscilla Presley. Elvis died in 1977.

“It’s a big romantic story,” said director Coppola in an interview. “But then we really wanted to have the highs and lows and show this complicated relationship as close as we could to how she saw it.”

“Priscilla” opens in theaters Nov. 3. Check online local listings for movie theater locations and times to watch the film.
