The Reef Restoration Podcast is where you can take a deep dive into the captivating ocean and focus on the underwater ecosystem of the coral reef. Coral reefs are one of the most unique and complex environments on our planet. Coral Reefs have not only become essential for marine animals but have also become an essential service for society. 

In this podcast episode, Angel Martinez, marine biologist, and researcher of coral reefs explains what coral reefs are and why they are important to our society. He also discusses the predators of coral reefs, which are becoming bleached and dying rapidly in South Florida, as well as what we can do to help protect these delicate ecosystems.

Episode 2

The incredible underwater ecosystems known as coral reefs are home to thousands of different species of fish, crabs, and other creatures. Unfortunately, due to pollution, overfishing, and climate change, they are in jeopardy and have been diminishing in recent years.

Alejandro Parisca, researcher, and television producer, discusses not only the degradation of reefs by private interests, but their absence in many atlases and national inventories.

Diana is a senior at Florida International University seeking a degree in Digital Media and Multimedia Production with a minor in film. She is passionate about content creation, TV production and entertainment. She plans to produce her own television show after completing her undergraduate studies.

Keith is a digital communications and media student with a minor in hospitality management at Florida International University. He hopes to work in the entertainment industry and plans to build a brand and a name for himself in the social media industry to hopefully open a nightclub. He enjoys the beach, social media, nightlife and digital graphics.
