Sideline hits the race track and the basketball court (includes video story)

Sideline, a new Caplin News sports program, takes viewers to the racetrack and the basketball court this week. First, there’s NASCAR’s biggest event, the Daytona 500. Next, Miami Heat players take part in the NBA All-Star game. And the University of Miami men’s basketball team extends its winning run. Sideline has the highlights and more!

Esteban Rodriguez is a sophomore majoring in TV/Broadcast media. He is a producer for Caplin News and FIU's Sports show, Sideline. He hopes to pursue this path of producing for Sports Networks and/or Hollywood in the Film Industry.

 

Kenneth Bueno is a junior majoring in the Digital Broadcasting field. He is a sim racing commentator for Podium eSports and aims to apply his love for sports into the sports broadcasting industry after graduating.

Ethan Toth is a senior, studying Digital Communication and Media at FIU since 2020. As an aspiring writer and producer, he has worked on multiple podcasts, film and video shoots and radio productions. Ethan looks forward to working professionally in whatever creative field he can land in first.

Anthony Blanco is a senior majoring in Digital Journalism with hopes of pursuing a career in sports journalism. Anthony is passionate about covering sports and hopes to one day make his passion his profession.

Alfredo Banegas is a junior at Florida International University majoring in digital journalism hoping to combine his passion of sports and writing to become a sports writer. Alfredo looks to make positive changes in the way sports are covered in today’s media landscape.

Tania Jimenez is a senior majoring in communication with a concentration in digital broadcasting. She is interested in sports. After graduation, she would like to continue her career journey in the world of sports media.

Producer

Moises Pinell is a student at FIU majoring in communications with a track in Digital Media. He enjoys editing videos related to sports and business. He aspires to work for a television network, the Miami Heat, or in the film industry.
